MHWave Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the MHWave website (“Site”) and the services we provide for the purchase and scrapping of vehicles (“Services”). By accessing or using our Site and Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or Services.

1. Introduction

MHWave is a car buying and scrapping service operated by The Wave Group, registered in the UK; These Terms apply to all users of the Site and Services, including those who browse the Site, submit a vehicle for valuation, or engage in the sale of a vehicle to MHWave.

2. Vehicle Valuation

2.1 Online Valuation: Any online valuation provided by MHWave is an estimate based on the information you provide about your vehicle. This valuation is not binding and may change following an inspection of the vehicle.

2.2 Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete information about your vehicle to receive a correct valuation. Any discrepancies or omissions may affect the final offer.

2.3 Inspection and Final Offer: After an initial online valuation, MHWave will arrange an inspection of your vehicle. Following the inspection, a final offer will be made. This offer is based on the actual condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection.

3. Selling Your Vehicle

3.1 Acceptance of Offer: If you accept MHWave’s final offer, you agree to sell your vehicle to MHWave under the terms outlined in this document. The sale is binding once both parties agree to the terms and payment has been initiated.

3.2 Ownership and Documentation: You must be the vehicle’s legal owner, free of any liens or encumbrances, except for any declared outstanding finance. You must provide all necessary documentation, including the V5C logbook, proof of identity, and any other documents requested by MHWave.

3.3 Outstanding Finance: If your vehicle has outstanding finance, you must declare this to MHWave. We may settle the finance directly with the finance company as part of the transaction. If the outstanding finance exceeds the vehicle’s value, you will be required to pay the difference before the transaction can proceed.

3.4 Payment: Payment for the vehicle will be made by bank transfer to the account details provided by you. Payment is typically processed on the same day as the vehicle’s collection but may take up to [specified number of days] to appear in your account, depending on your bank.

4. Collection of Vehicles

4.1 Arranging Collection: MHWave offers free collection of your vehicle at a time and location that is convenient for you. You must ensure the vehicle is accessible and in a condition that allows for safe collection.

4.2 Failed Collection: If MHWave is unable to collect the vehicle due to inaccessibility or incorrect information provided, we reserve the right to charge a fee for the failed collection attempt.

5. Scrapping Your Vehicle

5.1 Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF): MHWave works exclusively with Authorised Treatment Facilities (ATFs) to ensure that all vehicles are scrapped in compliance with UK environmental regulations.

5.2 Certificate of Destruction (CoD): Once your vehicle has been scrapped, MHWave will ensure you receive a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) from the ATF, confirming that the vehicle has been legally disposed of.
